NFL Power Rankings, Week 14: Bills and Eagles Nipping at Injury-Riddled Lions’ Heels; Ravens Drop
The NFL regular season is winding down, and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. The Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles continue to impress, while the Baltimore Ravens have taken a step back. Here is a look at the latest NFL Power Rankings, heading into Week 14:
1. Buffalo Bills (10-3)
The Bills remain the top team in the AFC after a dominant 31-10 victory over the New England Patriots. Josh Allen threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns, while Stefon Diggs had nine catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. The Bills’ defense held the Patriots to just 265 total yards and forced three turnovers.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (11-1)
The Eagles are right behind the Bills in the NFC after a 35-10 win over the Tennessee Titans. Jalen Hurts threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns, while A.J. Brown had seven catches for 154 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles’ defense held the Titans to just 199 total yards and forced two turnovers.
3. Minnesota Vikings (10-2)
The Vikings continue to impress after a 28-24 win over the New York Jets. Kirk Cousins threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns, while Justin Jefferson had eight catches for 133 yards and a touchdown. The Vikings’ defense held the Jets to just 317 total yards and forced two turnovers.
4. Detroit Lions (9-4)
The Lions have been one of the biggest surprises of the season, but they have hit a roadblock with a rash of injuries. They lost 34-23 to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13, and they are now without D’Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jeff Okudah. The Bills and Eagles are both within striking distance of the Lions, and they could overtake them in the NFC North if the Lions continue to struggle.
5. Baltimore Ravens (8-4)
The Ravens have dropped two straight games after a 28-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Lamar Jackson threw for just 168 yards and one touchdown, while the Ravens’ defense allowed 460 total yards. The Ravens are now in danger of missing the playoffs if they don’t turn things around quickly.
6. Cincinnati Bengals (8-4)
The Bengals bounced back from a tough loss to the Browns with a 27-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Joe Burrow threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns, while Ja’Marr Chase had nine catches for 119 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals’ defense held the Chiefs to just 324 total yards and forced two turnovers.
7. San Francisco 49ers (8-4)
The 49ers are back in the playoff race after a 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins. Brock Purdy started at quarterback in place of the injured Jimmy Garoppolo and threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns. The 49ers’ defense held the Dolphins to just 287 total yards and forced two turnovers.
8. Kansas City Chiefs (9-3)
The Chiefs lost their second straight game, falling to the Bengals in Week 13. Patrick Mahomes threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions. The Chiefs’ defense allowed 356 total yards and forced no turnovers.
9. New York Jets (7-5)
The Jets have lost two straight games, but they are still in the playoff hunt. They lost 28-24 to the Vikings in Week 13, despite a strong performance from Zach Wilson. Wilson threw for 355 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions. The Jets’ defense allowed 406 total yards and forced no turnovers.
