The NFL has announced its Players of the Week for Week 12, and two standout performances have earned the honor: Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos – AFC Offensive Player of the Week
In a thrilling overtime victory over the Carolina Panthers, Nix put together a record-breaking performance. He completed 29 of 40 passes for 420 yards and five touchdowns, setting a new franchise record for single-game passing yards. His performance also included a 67-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Kendall Hinton, the longest play of the season for the Broncos.
Nix has emerged as a dynamic playmaker for the Broncos offense. In just his second season as a starter, he has already thrown for over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. His accuracy and ability to extend plays with his mobility have been key to Denver’s recent success.
Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints – NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Hill’s versatility and impact on the Saints offense were on full display in their victory over the Los Angeles Rams. He carried the ball 13 times for 70 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching three passes for 30 yards. His performance helped the Saints overcome the absence of starting quarterback Andy Dalton.
Hill has become a valuable weapon for the Saints in recent seasons. His ability to line up at multiple positions and contribute in both the passing and running game makes him a nightmare for opposing defenses. This season, he has already accounted for over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns.
