Week 13 of the NFL season is upon us, and it’s shaping up to be another thrilling weekend of football. With several key matchups and playoff implications on the line, here are our picks for the biggest games:
Raiders vs. Chiefs (Black Friday, 4:30 PM ET)
The Kansas City Chiefs (9-2) will host the Las Vegas Raiders (5-6) on Black Friday in a pivotal AFC West showdown. The Chiefs are coming off a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Raiders have won two straight games and are looking to upset their division rivals.
The Chiefs are led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is having another MVP-caliber season. He has thrown for 3,585 yards, 30 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. The Raiders’ defense will need to find a way to contain Mahomes and his high-powered offense, which also features wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.
On the other side of the ball, the Raiders will rely on quarterback Derek Carr to lead their offense. Carr has thrown for 2,748 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions this season. He will be looking to connect with wide receivers Henry Ruggs III and Hunter Renfrow against a Chiefs defense that has been vulnerable at times.
Our pick: Chiefs 34, Raiders 27
Eagles vs. Ravens (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)
The Philadelphia Eagles (5-6) will travel to Baltimore to face the Baltimore Ravens (8-3) in a crucial NFC matchup. The Eagles are coming off a bye week, while the Ravens are looking to bounce back from a tough loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Ravens are led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. He has thrown for 2,442 yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, while also rushing for 767 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles’ defense will need to find a way to stop Jackson and the Ravens’ high-powered offense, which also features running back J.K. Dobbins and wide receiver Marquise Brown.
On the other side of the ball, the Eagles will rely on quarterback Jalen Hurts to lead their offense. Hurts has thrown for 2,430 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions this season.
