## NFL News Roundup: Latest League Updates from Friday, Nov. 15
### Chiefs’ Mahomes Suffers High Ankle Sprain, Status Uncertain for Week 11
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain in the team’s 30-29 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. The injury occurred late in the second quarter when Mahomes was sacked by Jaguars defender Arden Key.
Mahomes limped off the field and was replaced by backup Chad Henne. He did not return to the game. The Chiefs announced after the game that Mahomes would undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury.
If Mahomes is unable to play in Week 11, the Chiefs would likely turn to Henne as the starter. Henne has 78 career starts, including 13 with the Chiefs.
### Raiders’ Carr Benched, Stidham to Start
The Las Vegas Raiders have benched quarterback Derek Carr and will start Jarrett Stidham in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos. The decision was announced by head coach Josh McDaniels on Friday.
Carr has struggled this season, completing just 60.8% of his passes with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The Raiders are 2-7 this season and are last in the AFC West.
Stidham, a former fourth-round pick of the New England Patriots, has played in just four NFL games. He has completed 58.8% of his passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
### Ravens’ Jackson Doubtful for Week 11
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is doubtful to play in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers due to a knee injury. Jackson missed practice on Friday and has been limited in practice all week.
Jackson suffered the injury in the Ravens’ 28-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. He finished the game but was clearly hobbled.
If Jackson is unable to play, the Ravens would likely turn to backup Tyler Huntley as the starter. Huntley has started four games this season, completing 66.7% of his passes with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
### Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa Undergoes Surgery
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has undergone surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on Friday.
Tagovailoa suffered the injury in the Dolphins’ 35-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers on October 9. He missed the next two games before returning to start against the Detroit Lions in Week 8. However, he aggravated the injury in that game and was forced to leave in the third quarter.
The Dolphins have not announced a timetable for Tagovailoa’s return. However, it is likely that he will miss the remainder of the 2022 season.
