Tight End Titans: Must-Starts and Must-Sits for Week 14

NFL Fantasy 2024 Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: Tight Ends for Week 14

Week 14 of the NFL fantasy football season is upon us, and it’s time to make some tough decisions about who to start and who to sit at the tight end position. With several key matchups and injuries to consider, let’s break down the top tight ends to start and sit for Week 14.

Start ‘Em

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Denver Broncos)

Kelce is a no-brainer start in Week 14. The Chiefs’ offense is humming, and Kelce has been a major part of their success. He has at least 70 receiving yards in five of his last six games and has scored a touchdown in three straight games. The Broncos’ defense has been generous to opposing tight ends this season, so Kelce should have another big day.

Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens (vs. Pittsburgh Steelers)

Andrews is another elite tight end who should be started in Week 14. He has been Lamar Jackson’s favorite target this season, and he has produced at a high level. Andrews has at least 80 receiving yards in four of his last five games and has scored a touchdown in three of those games. The Steelers’ defense has been struggling against tight ends this season, so Andrews should be in line for another big performance.

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. New York Giants)

Goedert has been a consistent performer for the Eagles this season, and he is a good start in Week 14. He has at least 50 receiving yards in four of his last five games and has scored a touchdown in two of those games. The Giants’ defense has been vulnerable to tight ends this season, so Goedert should have a good opportunity to produce.

Sit ‘Em

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Kittle is a talented tight end, but he is a risky start in Week 14. He has been dealing with a calf injury, and he is questionable to play. Even if he does play, he may not be at 100%, which could limit his production. The Buccaneers’ defense has also been tough against tight ends this season, so Kittle is a risky start.

T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions (vs. Minnesota Vikings)

Hockenson has been a disappointment for fantasy owners this season, and he is a sit in Week 14. He has not scored a touchdown since Week 2 and has not had more than 50 receiving yards in any of his last three games. The Vikings’ defense has also been tough against tight ends this season, so Hockenson is a risky start.

Hunter Henry, New England Patriots (vs. Arizona Cardinals)

Henry has been a solid performer for the Patriots this season, but he is a sit in Week 14. He has not scored a touchdown since Week 7 and has not had more than 50 receiving yards in any of his last three games. The Cardinals’ defense has also been tough against tight ends this season, so Henry is a risky start.

Sleepers

Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Tennessee Titans)

Engram has been a pleasant surprise for the Jaguars this season, and he is a sleeper start in Week 14. He has at least 50 receiving yards in three of his last four games and has scored a touchdown in two of those games. The Titans’ defense has been vulnerable to tight ends this season, so Engram could be a good value play.

Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (vs. Green Bay Packers)

Kmet has been a disappointment for fantasy owners this season, but he is a sleeper start in Week 14. He has at least 50 receiving yards in two of his last three games and has scored a touchdown in one of those games. The Packers’ defense has also been vulnerable to tight ends this season, so Kmet could be a good value play.

Tyler Conklin, New York Jets (vs. Buffalo Bills)

Conklin has been a solid performer for the Jets this season, and he is a sleeper start in Week 14. He has at least 50 receiving yards in three of his last four games and has scored a touchdown in one of those games. The Bills’ defense has been tough against tight ends this season, but Conklin is a good value play.
